And now, holidays in Cyprus offer superb beaches, secluded villages and cosmopolitan resorts, alongside unique historic attractions.

We have listed some things to do below but if you wish to discover much more, you can download the Ayia Napa - Protaras app which offers more information on sightseeing, beaches, entertainment, transportation, events, activities and much more.

Things to do:

BEACHES

Ayia Napa Boasts 14 Blue Flag beaches which from East to West are Konnos Bay, Kermia, Ammos tou Kambouri, Glyki Nero, Pantachou, Loukkos tou Manti, Katsarka, Pernera, Vathia Gonia (Sandy Bay), Nissi, Nissi Bay, Lanta, Macronissos and Agia Thekla.
Most of the beaches in this area have lifeguards available during daylight hours from April until October. All have noticeboards at the beach advising of availability of lifeguards, warning flag systems and locations of other facilities such as toilets and showers. Many also have tourist facilities such as snack bars and watersports.

CAPE GRECO

Cape Greco was designated as a National Forest Park in 1993. It is a relatively unspoilt area with great natural beauty which changes and offers something different each season. It is an oasis of tranquility nestled midway between the busy resorts of Ayia Napa and Protaras.
At the headland of Cape Greco is a lighthouse and walkers can also find ruined foundations of an ancient temple devoted to Aphrodite. At the Eastern edge of the park is Konnos Bay, a breathtakingly beautiful beach with crystal clear waters fringed by pine trees.

SEA CAVES

There are numerous sea caves stretching from the Eastern edge of Ayia Napa up towards Cape Greco National Park. Smugglers caves and the palace caves are deep passages in the cliffs only accessible from the sea.
Some go as deep as 80 metres into the rock and at low tide during calm seas it is possible to walk or swim into many of them.

The sea surrounding the caves is crystal clear although rocky. Many people visit this stretch of coast around Cape Greco to snorkel or dive and local people often fish here during the early hours of the morning. The caves are also visited by most boat trips which sail the East coast on a daily basis.

BOAT TRIPS

No holiday to Cyprus is complete without a boat trip or two. This is a great way to top up your tan and the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean are very inviting. A boat trip is a fun day out for anyone wanting to view the stunning coastline in this area or just do something different than lay on the beach all day.

There are family friendly submarine trips, thrilling sport fishing expeditions, lazy day cruises for sun worshippers and crazy party cruises for the young, wild and free.
